Clarification for existing Specialist Terms signatories
Recorded: 14 October 2026. Clarification relating to Specialist Terms revision 14 October 2026, revision 6.
This note is for registration specialists who already accepted a Specialist Participation Agreement and a recorded version of the Registration Compare Specialist Terms. It explains how the published Specialist Terms were clarified on 14 October 2026 (revision 6). It does not change the version recorded on your acceptance or your agreed commercial terms.
New acceptances from 14 October 2026, revision 6 onwards use the full revised Specialist Terms on the public specialist terms page. If your agreement records an earlier version, that version remains the one that applies to your agreement unless you and Registration Compare agree a written variation.
Section 4 — Specialist profiles and onboarding (replacement wording)
The opening paragraph of Section 4 now ends with the following clarification in place of the former statement that Registration Compare does not publish a directory of live specialist profiles:
Detailed specialist profiles used for customer matching and individual proposals are not made available through an openly browsable directory. Access to these profiles remains controlled as part of Registration Compare’s qualification, shortlisting and proposal process. This does not prevent Registration Compare from publishing separate, publicly accessible research about businesses operating in the registration consultancy market.
New Section 4A — Public research, specialist recognition and advertising
Revision 6 adds Section 4A, which describes public research profiles (distinct from detailed proposal profiles), optional review and claim of public profiles, the distinction between independent research and verified participating specialist status, partnership and verification branding where agreed, marketing and paid search activity, and the separation of public research from customer shortlisting.
Nothing in this clarification removes existing obligations on private profile accuracy, verification, confidentiality, commercial terms, outcome reporting or proposal access controls under the version you accepted.
