Connect your calendar to Registration Compare
Registration Compare helps people looking for CQC registration support find suitable registration specialists and arrange discovery calls.
Specialists can connect their Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 / Outlook calendar to manage their availability and receive discovery-call bookings.
How the calendar connection works
A registration specialist chooses to connect their own calendar through Nylas. Customers do not connect a calendar.
- The connection checks availability within the working hours the specialist provides, on their primary calendar.
- Customers can choose an open time for a discovery call.
- Registration Compare can create, reschedule and cancel that discovery-call appointment on the connected calendar.
- Customers cannot see the details of the specialist's existing calendar events.
Discovery-call times are offered after the specialist has saved their availability and Registration Compare has marked the connection ready.
Calendar permissions and privacy
Google Calendar permissions allow Registration Compare to see and download calendars on the connected account, and to view and edit events on those calendars. Those permissions may extend to other calendars accessible through the account. Registration Compare uses the primary writable calendar for discovery-call scheduling.
For Microsoft 365 and Outlook, the permission is Calendars.ReadWrite. Microsoft describes this as full access to the calendars on the account. It lets Registration Compare create, read, update and delete events in those calendars.
The connection does not request access to Gmail, an Outlook email inbox, or contacts.
Calendar connections are managed through Nylas. Calendar information is used for discovery-call booking. It is not used for advertising, and it is not sold.
A specialist can withdraw calendar access in their Google or Microsoft account settings, or email Registration Compare and ask for the calendar to be disconnected. Withdrawing permission does not automatically delete booking records or the technical connection details already held.
